Natasha Kuziutina defeats Bruna Ellen to defend her title at LFA 189

SALAMANCA, NEW YORK — In the Empire State, the LFA capped the first week of the 2024 Summer Olympics with the first title defense of a three-time Olympian and LFA champion Natasha “Kuzya” Kuziutina. In the main event, LFA inteirm women’s strawweight champion Kuziutina showed her Olympic pedigree over the course of 5 hard fought rounds with Bellator standout Bruna Ellen. The Russian judoka and 2016 Olympic bronze medalist controlled her Brazilian opponent Ellen, who was making her strawweight debut after fighting nine times as a flyweight for Bellator. In the end, the judges awarded Kuziutina the Unanimous Decision with scores that read 50-45, 49-46, 50-45. In the co-main event, top Kygyz prospect Iler Bakhtiyar Uulu defeated New York native James Gonzalez with a vicious onslaught of knees. The Kyrgyzstan native officially put an end to things via TKO (Knees) at 2:59 of Round 1. The other fight results can be found below:
